MODEL AN-03
Analytics desk
A question in. The SQL, a chart and the answer out.
Plain-English questions turned into SQL, run read-only against your database, and returned with a chart and the query so anyone can check it. Runs on a self-hosted open-source model when data can't leave your servers.
In plain words: Ask your database questions in plain English.
INPUTA plain-English question about your data
OUTPUTThe SQL, a chart and the answer
RUNS ONYour database (read-only) · self-hosted or hosted model
OPERATORAn analyst reviews the question set and schema notes

Rev. 1 · AN-03§1
What it does
Maps the question to your schema, writes and checks the SQL, runs it against a read-only replica with row limits, and returns the result with a chart and the query itself. Ambiguous questions come back as a clarifying question, not a wrong number.
§2
Install when
- People wait days for simple numbers
- The data is in a database but nobody can query it
- Data must stay on your own infrastructure
§3
Do not install when
- The data isn't clean enough to trust
- Questions need modelling, not lookup
- There's no read-only replica and no appetite to make one
§4 · The line
Each station is a separate step with one job and its own check. A failure is caught where it happens, not at the end.
